Sri Aurobindo Ashram-Delhi Branch Guest Service: ‘Tapasya', the residential building also has some accommodation for guests. The guest rooms are run with a spirit of service to the Divine. Guests who seek a spiritual life and wish to imbibe the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother are welcome to stay. They are expected to follow the rules and discipline of the Ashram, participate in the community life and help with the cleanliness and growth of the Ashram. One comes here with a desire to serve the Divine and to consider every opportunity of service as a gift from God. A minimum of one hour “Shramdan” (work-offering) is expected of all those who come to live here. You can choose from many options. It can be in the garden, dinning hall, kitchen, or help sweep, mop and dust the Tapasya Building itself. 1. Don't create noise pollution & please maintain the sanctity of the Ashram. 2. Smoking, Gutkha, Alcohol & Drugs are strictly prohibited on the Ashram Campus. 3. Main gate of Tapasya closes at 10:30 pm. Please try to observe timing. 4. Use water sparingly and make sure all taps and electrical switches are turned off after use. 5. Children below the age of 6 are not expected to stay in Tapasya. It ought to be considered as a place of sadhana. I have read the guest rules and would have no problem in abiding by them Facilities for Guests Meals are available for guests who are staying here. Yogasana classes are also available for guests at fixed timings. Please inquire at the reception. The Ashram Reception can help guests to acquaint themselves with the various activities of the Ashram and Schools run by Sri Aurobindo Education Society. Guests are advised to attend at least once, the morning Assembly in the Hall of Aspiration. Getting there Land Mark (Near I.I.T. Please always mention Sri Aurobindo Ashram as your destination point as there is another area in Delhi which has the name 'Ashram' and is quite far from us. Sri Aurobindo Ashram is situated on Sri Aurobindo Marg, near I.I.T. Flyover and is opposite NCERT and Sarvodaya Enclave. The Ashram gate is next to 'Mother's School' bus stop.
